Delegating tasks to your Virtual Assistant for the first time can be daunting. You’ll be quizzing yourself with ‘what should I give them?’ or ‘what happens if they don’t know what to do?’ this is a perfectly normal line of questioning, but you needn’t worry when working with our virtual team. The best way to start the delegation process is to make a list of what you do over the period of a week; this allows you to pin-point exactly how you spend your time and in turn will give you a better idea of which tasks to pass on.
The easiest way to decide what to assign to your virtual PA is by following these simple points:
- Are there any tasks that don’t generate income but are extremely time-consuming?
- There are probably a number of errands that you don’t enjoy doing, but are the nuts and bolts of your business. So if possible you may want to delegate these to your virtual assistant.
- It may also be worth considering the cost of certain duties, if a task can be completed by your virtual PA for half the price that you would usually charge a customer, then you should contemplate delegating those types of jobs.
- Our virtual PA’s may have knowledge in areas where you don’t particularly excel and so it may be of interest to you to pass on those tasks.
