How many hats are you wearing at the moment? Each one represents the amount of skills that you require in order to grow your business, simply put – are you an expert in everything?
A nice analogy is that of the baker. You have opened a lovely vintage bakery because you love baking and you are good at it. This doesn’t mean you can market yourself, carry out your admin or do your bookkeeping!
At some stage we all find that we just can’t remain in a situation where we are doing it all on our own. Eventually something will have to give and you certainly don’t want that moment to mean you have gone to far to turn back! Delegating some of your tasks will free up your time and energy for an abundance of other tasks including the opportunity to make more money.
The advantages you would benefit from when delegating administrative, time consuming activities to a Virtual Assistant are plentiful and without sounding dramatic; they really are life changing. Imagine if you could have hour and a half a day, which is 32.5 extra hours a month and 390 extra hours a year! What would you do with all that extra time? Make more money!
Contemplate how valuable your time is and try to put a price on your hourly rate. Regardless of what that number is for you, that is how much it is costing you to do your admin. I am convinced that you will carry out your admin less effectively and competently than a Virtual Assistant would. There is no way this makes sense and I cannot imagine any business plan in the world advocating this model.
So don’t waste any more of your valuable time. Contact us today!

Not everyone has a clear definition of what we do but to put into simple terms, we are here to help you to hold everything together, taking the pressure off of you so you can focus on the main thing; your business!
How to choose your virtual assistant?
Choosing the right person to assist you can be tricky.
Naturally the most important aspect is to be able to fully trust and rely on that person to be honest and supportive when working with and supporting you.
It’s not always easy to judge a person correctly from a telephone conversation, so to acquire a clearer impression and make sure you are making the right choice we would strongly advise meeting that person or at least setting up a Skype meeting.
To keep peace in the workplace, a good virtual assistant needs to be able to listen and act impeccably according to the task given. A virtual assistant should be one who sets a good example to others within your organisation and displays your professionalism to external companies by expressing good time management, organisational and communications skills, and other similar qualities. A virtual assistant should always be encouraging and willing to take on new and challenging tasks to broaden their horizons while also inspiring others.
Experience is vital when considering potential VA’s. You will need to see what situations they have faced in the past. A virtual assistant should have a testimonials page so have a read through this and if you wish, you can always ask for references.
How do you know you really have the right person?
You should be able to tell if you have the right person in a matter of months, by the response you get from clients and other members of your organisation, and the standard of tasks carried out. It’s always a good idea to mark their progress and carry out regular reviews to see how they are finding the role and to establish if any changes should be made.
Finding the right person can sometimes be difficult, but ensuring you select the correct individual can only have a positive impact on your business.

My name is Jack and I have been working as a part of the business in the Essex office for a little over two months. We are a virtual head office providing Marketing, PR and admin assistance to a variety of businesses from the very large to the one man start ups.
At first the role that I undertook appeared daunting, however I was given excellent guidance by my peers, which helped me to accomplish tasks with a high level of efficiency. Once the tasks that I performed day to day became second nature, I found that I was enjoying my work even more; this may be because the tasks that I am instructed to complete are diverse and differentiate from one day to the next. Furthermore, I feel like this point underlines the best feature of becoming a virtual administrator, as there is never a boring day in the office when every day you are doing something new.
Aside from the work itself, I feel I have picked up invaluable skills, which are not only useful in the PA profession, but may also come in handy for the future. These include, handling telephone calls, online banking and from watching my colleagues I am impressed by how many companies benefit from their marketing and PR.
I have also found with this area of the workforce that the atmosphere is generally relaxed and virtually stress free, in my opinion this is when you work at your best, as we are so well organised that there is little pressure to complete jobs quickly, as long as they are finished professionally and meet the client’s standards.
Overall I don’t have a negative thing to say about the Virtual Personal Assistant role, and I hope I continue to enjoy my work for the foreseeable future.
Today our Essex based admin team talks organisation. Because lets be honest, it is either natural to you, or not.

I am the director of a team of virtual assistants in Essex and London, (although we cover the whole of the UK)
So the question is; why so i love working for myself? Apart from the obvious answer of being self employed and making up my own hours – within reason of course! I like people. I guess I am a people pleaser. So nothing makes me happier than working for someone and them being really pleased with my work and telling me so! I’m not an ‘employee’ so they technically don’t have to give me praise. Therefore it really means something when someone comes back to me and tells me they are happy with my work.
I received these two emails this week and each one really made my day.
I wanted to let you know the service I have received from Kerry has exceeded my expectations. The quality and fast turnaround are excellent.
The second email was from a client who knew I was going on holiday and said they had deposited some money into my account so I could indulge in a spa treatment whilst I was away!
Both these emails have really made me happy (I may have printed them to show my husband) and given me a real boost to work harder, because now I have a new personal target to smash! It also reminded me how important it is to treat my own staff. So Kerry, you have a gift hamper coming your way!
To all the employers reading this –Give your staff a thank you it really will make their day!
