Lets talk social media… We like to think we are pretty good at it, our results PROVE we are pretty amazing.

We are ‘tech babies;’ Teens in an era when social media started getting big. We were chatting with our friends on Myspace and Bebo and were in our early twenties when Facebook started out. That gave us the natural aptitude to get to grips with social media. After all we had been using it to arrange parties and dates for years. But that’s not enough… So we attended seminars and courses to get us where we are today.

So we thought it would be a great topic for a blog this week, and if it is well received maybe we can do some more.

Perhaps I can throw some stats at you to show just how important social media is.

  • 92% of advertising in 2011 was digital.
  • More than 50% of people buy based on an online recommendation.
  • Facebook has more than 845 million monthly users.
  • The average tweet reaches the number of your followers x4
  • 49% of the population in the UK use Facebook
  • Twitter has 50million daily users
  • 90% of Facebook promotion is drive there by emails
