One of the things our Essex based team excel at is organising and marketing events, we have extensive experience and it is something we love to do.
For the first time we will be organising an event for ourselves this week! We had a team meeting today and we came up with some really excellent ideas. A local Essex newspaper will be running a story on us this week – I will link to it once it is published –We are holding a networking event in collaboration with the guys at LovePlayWork
(As an aside LovePlayWork are an amazing company and we couldn’t recommend them highly enough, if you are self employed and are interested in being location independent I would certainly have a word with them, also their blog is really interesting, well worth a read.)
So the preparation for the networking event has commenced. We have spent a large chunk of time writing a press release and emailing it to everyone we think would benefit from it. Already we have received two responses to say they would love to print it!
So now we can move onto the event itself. We are hoping to hold two separate days; one in Essex and one in Peterborough. We will have guest speakers and a great chance to network with others in the same boat as you; you can share information and hopefully find some contacts that will be useful to you in the future. There will be a table for business cards so if you are self employed then bring some along. You never know who may be looking for someone just like you!
